A Few Tips

If you’re experiencing a water emergency in Murfreesboro, you might wonder what you should do before SERVPRO of Rutherford County arrives on the scene. First of all, try to cut the source of the water off. If it’s possible to stop the water, that should be your primary priority. Next, start the process of removing the water. Whether you use towels or a ShopVac, the sooner you remove the water the better.

If you’re overwhelmed by the prospect of removing the water, that’s okay! We’ll be on site within our guaranteed four-hour window. We can start the work as soon as we arrive. Focus on getting your valuables out of the area and move furniture to a safe space, if possible. We also recommend putting tinfoil on the wood pieces of your furniture. If it sits in water, staining will occur— on your furniture as well as on your carpet.

Our main concern is that you stay safe after water damage. If you’re concerned, turn off the electricity until we can get to the site to check it out.
